An overnight viral phenomenon

People who tuned in to watch the BBC weather forecast for Scotland yesterday lunchtime were in for a real treat. Sally Magnusson was delighted to hand her viewers over to the newest member of their weather team, the one and only... Prince Charles. Charles and Camilla were in Scotland as part of the annual Holyrood week which included a tour of BBC Scotland's headquarters. The video became viral globally as it was published online via the BBC with thousands of tweets about it. Charles was professional and witty with a humourous finish, declaring after a somewhat bleak weather outlook "Thank God it isn't a bank holiday." I think it's uplifting to see the Royals having such a down to earth sense of humour and, if he ever did decide to give up the day job, I am sure BBC Scotland would embrace his presenting talent with open arms.
